Rocket Signs prints custom paper wheatpaste street posters. These are the least expensive posters we offer. They are printed on plain white paper and are normally either used indoors or used outdoors on walls, columns or kiosks. Their outdoor life is limited in locations they would be subjected to the elements. In arid climates they would last the longest outdoors.
While these street posters may seem like a modern, urban phenomenon, the fact is they have been in use since the early 1900's. The printing technology may have changed and the posters commonly feature full color artwork now, but the purpose and the benefits of using street posters remains largely the same. Music related events, political messages, inspirational or artwork designs are just some common uses although they have been used in recent years to promote everything from movies to the circus to cosmetics. Even cars! In 2008, full color street posters were used in Chicago to promote the Scion xB.
At this time, we print paper posters in one and two spot colors only. This makes for eye-catching and easier to read posters and it gets the price and minimums way down. The standard sizes of 18"x24", 12"x18" and 9"x24" are available.
